Quick synopsis: some guy, his mom, his sister, and (what looks to be) his sister’s fling are giving us tips on how to organize our very own Windows 7 party. And it is awkward. Why, for instance, are these people laughing so much?!

Well, thankfully someone remixed it with bleeps inserted whenever someone says “Windows”. This version, we believe, is much more amusing — and more risque.

We are all about holiday themes here and amidst bbq’s and beaches, we are always on the look out for some breakthrough video’s. To stay within our theme, I present my 4th of July inspired video by the self-proclaimed great American Hero, Kanye West in his take on infomercials. My favorite part: The Drunk Girl. I have no doubt that Mr. America casted her himself as he threw away his tax forms while flexing in the mirror and kissing his Versace adorned biceps.

**So we’ve been really busy at memelabs for the last couple of weeks. Each week I’ve written my half of the video of the week post, but Nadia‘s been so busy with the contests that she’s not had a chance to write her half. Well it’s that time of the week again…I know you all greatly look forward to it. Yes I get to regail you with my most awesome video of the week. Now if there are two things that Canadians love, it’s Hockey and Steven Colbert. So when I was watching The Colbert Report the other night and saw this it was like being able to eat double cream double ganache cake to lose weight. So everyone get ready to punch some beavers and drink some Moose Head.

The kids who make it to the national spelling bees amaze me. They know the spelling and meaning of words that I’ve never even heard of. Usually the room is so full of anticipation and tension that you could here a pin drop. So this isn’t the place where you’d expect to see a bit of a comedy show. Well that is exactly what happens when one of the contestants misunderstands what word the judge is trying to say.

The 30′s and Russia brought us lots of things. We had the Great Depression, The Empire State Building, Snow White, the discovery of – Pluto, Penicillin, and Insulin- and Russian Vodka (mm tasty). So what happens when you combine the 30′s and Russia? How about the first Hip Hop/Break Dancing troop. Since WWI had finished, I guess this platoon of Russian Soldiers had a bit too much time on their hands. And no I am not going to insert an ‘In Soviet Russia’ meme here (that’s what the comment section is for:). Enjoy a little Red Army Hip Hop.

Lets talk guilty pleasures for a moment. A singularly decadent weapon in the arsenal of personal satisfaction. The light at its core is generally intimate- a, “Don’t look at me- I am hideous” kind of thing. That said, those personal moments of indulgences are raw and attached truisms into who we really are.

My guilty pleasures? Nerds with guitars and viral video. Now with Weezers new video, they spoke directly to me almost knowing that while nerds playing guitars and holding hands with monkey’s is a pretty close win, it did not command my full fandemonium support. Enter Phase II of the conversion process and the orgasm of guilty pleasures. Nerds + Peanut Butter Jelly Time.

In a week filled with news from the US Primaries, this video seemed like a great reprieve from the sniping from Hillary’s camp at Obama and a needed breath of comedy. Taking a page from Obama, former presidential hopeful Mike Gravel tried to move in on Obama Girl. Throw in Obama Girl, Mike Gravel, and a little crank dat groove, you are sure to giggle. The video won me when Mike actually threw down some Soulja Boy moves and gave a shout out to the twitterati. Enjoy!

Hi. I think that I am becoming jaded. Things just aren’t amusing me as they used to and, to be honest, in embracing my cynicism, I am proud to present my newfound sense of humor: Old people dancing. I am meh about the ghost rider phenom, since it represents stupid southern gangata lame-rap, but partnered with an old aged pensioners ride which looks strikingly like a short bus we have a real gold winner. Pppppeace.

Despite having one of the meanest record collections on the west side, I have never wanted to be the next Pete Tong. Loved the idea of being the DJ’s girlfriend just so I could carry his crates and hit front of the line so I could stinkeye the rest of the mallrats in lineup, I am now changing my tune. After watching my video of the week featuring the Littlest, and kinda lame, gangsta, I want to do a dance remix with the hook being “I yanked the, I yanked the, I yanked the thing” seen between 0:26-0:30. That was gold.

Michael Jackson’s sabbatical in Dubai seems to be rubbing off on his dance moves. On Britain’s Got Talent, MJ – or at least a really good impersonator – graced us with his new found middle eastern inspired groove. I love how the usually unflappable brits Simon and Piers are caught off guard by this dancing duo. Their reactions alone are worth the 2 minutes of your life.

I’ve never had a more difficult decision to make since Halloween ’98 in whether to be Sigourney Weaver from Alien or Sigourney Weaver from Gorillas in the Mist. I tell you, garbage island is pretty amazing and shocking but it may be a more fitting post during earth week since we are pretty thematic here. So here is the decision that I made. Part balls, part man voice on a goat. Kinda easy decision when I read it like that. Enjoy!

We have a nice short week this week – yay easter! Now instead of choosing an obvious Easter themed video this week, I’ve decided to go with the most epic rickroll to date. I’ve had the pleasure of being rickrolled a few times and have done it to a few unexpecting friends as well – Dario even rickrolled my jog by adding Rick Astley to my iphone playlist, but nothing even starts to compare to this one. The guys at RocketBoom wanted to get back at Next New Networks founder Tim Shey for Rick Rolling him. Now to take it a step further, he did it IRL using a singing telegram – genius! You can read the whole story here. My favorite part is when they start to sing along to the song.

Well done, Miss Lowther. Well done. But from my perspective, that video was indeed in the spirit of Easter. Rick Rolling in the office place? They took that exec to CHURCH!

Now I am going to head in another direction. To all things unholy. Spoiled 16-year old Malibu harlets. This video features why giving your teenaged daughter a tiara is like shooting yourself in the foot. This also supports my mandate for OC tweens to beat it (unless you are Adam Brody). Heart.
