Pole Dancing Isn’t for Everyone

Some time during the last decade, pole dancing moved from the domain of seedy clubs to suburban respectability. In fact, soccer moms have begun to host home pole dancing parties — in a similar fashion to ye olde tupperware parties.  Stripped (pun intended) of their erotic overtones, pole dancing has now been championed as a way to keep fit and maintain good health.

Sounds beautifully utilitarian. Why then have videos of pole dancing mishaps become so popular on YouTube? Because many netizens don’t appreciate its new found respectability. And seeing so many people fail confirms their suspicions that not everyone should be a pole dancer.
